Step 01. Prepare.
Using hot water, rinse the paper filter to remove any taste.
Place the plunger in the AeroPress and flip it so it’s upside down.
Carefully weigh out 15g of coffee. If using beans, grind to medium fine.
Step 02. Bloom.
Start your timer and pour 60g of filtered water into the AeroPress. Stir gently to saturate all the coffee.
Leave to bloom for 30 seconds, allowing the coffee to degas.
Step 03. Main pour.
Pour in the remaining water, up to 220g. Stir again, gently.
Leave to steep until the timer shows 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
Step 04. Cap and flip.
Attach the filter cap, making sure it’s secure. Flip the AeroPress onto your mug, then press gently over a period of 20-30 seconds.
Step 05. Finish and adjust.
When you hear a hiss, stop pressing. Your brew is ready.
You can adjust the intensity to your taste by adding between 10g and 30g of hot water.
